Road Mesh
RoadMesh is used to reinforce bound pavements. Placed within the upper bound layers of the pavement (typically 75mm below finished road level) Roadmesh strengthens the pavement and enhances its performance. Designed and installed correctly, Roadmesh;
Extends fatigue life
Reduces rutting, especially in motorway crawler lanes on hills
Reduces pothole formation
Reduces reflective cracking in overlays
Reduces 'shoving' and shearing of the upper asphalt layers when exposed to high lateral vehicle turning loads
Our Roadmesh is made from double twisted steel wire mesh reinforced transversely at regular intervals with steel bars. It is these bars that absorb and transfer the loads within the pavement.
ROADPOT 2.7 is a pothole reinforcement and repair system for asphalt manufactured from double twisted 8x10cm steel wire mesh. Available in 0.96 x 1.3m panels, RoadPot has a transverse rod woven through the mesh at 16cm intervals. RoadPot has a three dimensional structure, allowing the asphalt matrix to envelop each wire stand ensuring optimum interlock with the aggregate skeleton. Mechanical characteristics exceed EN 10223-3. RoadPot is installed by sawing or breaking out asphalt around the pothole to create a 0.96 x 1.3m opening. The RoadPot panel is placed in the opening and overlaid with asphalt.
